They’re Going to Review WA Strata Laws Soon

The WA Government is starting its 5 year review of the new 2000 WA strata titles laws soon with themes covering:

Cost controls in strata buildings

Enhancing strata living

Strata manager practices and standards

First, there’ll be public consultation in October 2024 to identify issues that need attention. Then, in 2025, there’ll be two more cycles of public consultation.

They’re also planning direct discussions with industry and government stakeholders.

I think that makes 4 Australian states currently reviewing their strata laws in multi-year cycles.  So, I’ll give you a dollar for each year this WA review takes based on the history of these things.
