In the Daily Post When Strata Managers Confer … we showcased the SCA Australasia May 2025 Conference that’s focused on strata managers' aspirations.
When Strata Managers Confer …
Strata managers will be conferring in Hobart in May 2025 at the 2025 Strata Community Association Australasia Conference called Advancing Together: The Future we Aspire to in Strata Management.
But, having looked at the sponsorships for the conference, it looks [to us at least] that the immediate future SCA strata managers aspire to involves collecting $277,720 from suppliers of strata goods and services to subsidise most of that conference.
You can see the SCA Australasia conference sponsorship brochure [charmingly called a prospectus] here.
That’s separate from the $1,450 each full delegate pays to attend the conference.
So, the 2025 SCA Australasia Conference looks to be a $500,000 event where strata suppliers will subsidise attendees for up to half the cost.
Let’s hope to see something great come out of it for all strata citizens given all the money that’s being spent.
BTW … should NSW strata manager conference attendees also be disclosing the non-money benefits they’re receiving from sponsoring suppliers that are subsidising the conference who also provide goods and services to their strata buildings?
Just wondering …
