Should we be worried about a medium-long term slow down in #stratatitle development after seeing the ABS January 2021 stats?
They show that there were only 3,434 new dwellings excluding houses [that’s apartments and townhouses] approved around Australia in January/ That’s the lowest number since January 2012 and down from a high of 13, 096 in November 2017 and averages of around 10,000 per month for the 3 years before that.
But if you study the chart below, you’ll see a steady declining trend in strata apartment approvals since the beginning of 2018.
Maybe we’re in for a quieter few years for new strata buildings?
