Finally [and thankfully], the Strata Community Association has a few things to say about Australian housing policy by issuing 3 media releases in the same week.
A Media Release from NSW telling us that SCA NSW believes the government needs to have tailored planning and policy settings for strata developments and, of course, recognition of strata managers as essential partners in managing and maintaining the growing volume of high-density housing.
A Media Release from ACT supporting the announcement of land releases for development, and again, that the strata sector will play a central role in realising the government’s housing ambitions.
A Media Release from SCA National group covering the good, bad and ugly of medium and high housing policy for each state and the quote from President Joshua Baldwin:
“Governments that fail to plan for the management of these communities will end up paying the price in building quality issues, resident dissatisfaction and legal disputes.”
Since strata title is a huge part of the future of property development and housing in Australia, what governments do and don’t do on housing is critical.
So, well done, Strata Community Association.
Keep it up!
