After being out of the news for a little while, Mascot Towers, is back with a vengeance with a major defeat in the NSW Supreme Court, increasing debts for the strata building, and personal tragedies for owners as @SueWilliams reports in @SMH which you can read here.
It’s an awful situation that has befallen the strata owners who now appear paralysed by the increasing enormity of their problems.
So, their latest call for a government bailout is understandable. But, there’s already been government assistance for alternate accommodation in the past and it’s unclear, if and why they’d do it.
There also appear to be differing views amongst experts, commentators and regular strata citizens about what should be done, how and by whom at Mascot Towers.
However, I wonder why, after 4 and half years, clearly defined solution options do not exist: even if they are unpalatable to the Mascot Towers owners?
And, curiously despite the seriousness and duration of the problems, Mascot Towers hasn’t even got its own Wikipedia page yet like that other Sydney #stratatitle building that was evacuated on Christmas Eve 2018 and has resolved its problems [Opal Tower].
But it does have its own website called mascottowers.com.au.
