Unsurprisingly, last week’s Flat Chat Wrap podcast covers the ABC News story about Netstrata, the resignation of the SCA NSW President, and dubious strata management practices.
Jimmy Thompson, one of the presenters, is commonly known as a strata provocateur [a description which I think he’s happy with].
And, he’s pretty punchy on this podcast saying that the strata management culture in NSW is failing strata owners and strata managers. But, he also calls out a few other things including:
SCA NSW’s strata owners division as unrepresentative
Strata manager codes of conduct as toothless
Embedded network contracts at first AGMs as unfair
Strata levy collection legal fees as a rort
That the NSW Strata Commissioner appears to be missing in action
