The Australian College of Strata Lawyers has published a statement that takes a hard line on strata managers asking for an receiving strata insurance [and other] commissions saying:
‘to be a true professional a strata/body corporate manager would not accept commissions, payments, or benefits, particularly in circumstances where they are simply adding to the costs of their client.’
That’s definitely putting a few very firm stakes in the strata ground.
